Pastoral Council

The pastoral councils' role is to collaborate with the pastor. It does not manage the day to day affairs of the parish, but seeks and engages in ongoing long range pastoral planning. The council members serve as a channel of consultation for the pastor by engaging in ongoing dialog concerning the needs, feelings, hopes, and reactions of the parishoners. Pastoral planning begins with and is sustained by a process of discernment and assessment. The pastor and the Pastoral Council, through prayer, study, and listening to the needs of our parish community, begin to identify and prioritize the ways in which the parish is being called to live out its specific mission.
