Thanks be to God

Lord I just thank you for today, for granting me the strength and courage to make it through the day. Lord, I want to follow you, but I am tempted many times to do otherwise. I try not to fail and to fall, but at times it is more difficult than others, and sometimes I lose my way. I always seem to come back to you because I know that you are the truth, the light, and the way to my eternal happiness and salvation. I pray that you help me not to wander off as much, not to lose my way, and to follow you wherever you might want to take me. I trust you with all my heart, and though I am not worthy, by my own admission of guilt, I ask you to please entrust within me the promise of salvation that died for. I ask you to walk with me today, let me know that you are there and that you love me, and that I am not alone, so that when I am alone, I am not alone. I ask you to grace me with the gift of fortitude, that I can make it through the day. It seems to be a long day, with much to do, and so little time to do it all, but I will try, and try not to complain with all and as much as there is to do.
I thank you Lord for hearing me, I know that you always hear me. I know that you love me, and I love you too. I am blessed by your gift and your grace of salvation. I am blessed by the mercy of your love and forgiveness. And today I promise I will try to lead by example.
