HELP US O LORD

In this difficult time we are going through, Dear Lord help us to get through it and not choose badly in taking our lives. The suicide level is going up and many people are foolishly taking the lives of the children and spouse and then taking their own life. Bad enough we will destroy our own life, but why must we destroy the whole family? Life is precious and we must preserve it to life-eternal.

If we have such violent thoughts, we must talk to someone about them and always try to put them out of our mind. Many times when we feel guilty about something, suicide thought come to us, but that is the time to come to the Lord and beg His blessing for peace and gratitude for all we have received. Many times being out of work for a long period of time can bring us to such thoughts. If we have done everything possible to get work and are not able to get it, put it on the Lord for help as the expression goes, Pray as if all depends on God and Work as if all depends on you. This is a winning combination and when we apply it to our lives, good things can happen. Trust in God is so important and when we put total trust in our God, we are confident and nothing can take us over and true peace is within us. For many, we must learn to forgive ourselves as God forgives us. It can be difficult, but nothing is impossible with God. Many times in life, we beat ourselves up and will not let go of some action in the past. We can do absolutely nothing to change what has happened, so why do we continue to feel the
guilt and keep punishing ourselves? If God can forgive us and He truly does if we are sorry, then why do we not forgive ourselves? We have a precious gift of life and we must use it well and not let it slip through our fingers by holding on to the past (especially the bad).
We have a real challenge and that is to find joy and peace each day of our life. It is totally possible if we put our hands in the “hands” of the Lord and let Him guide and direct our day. When we put total trust in our God, such peace and joy come over us and we can truly have a wonderful day, filled with the joy of the Lord. If you find depression coming over you, put it on the Lord and His grace will free you from this darkness and bring you into His wonderful light. May the light of Christ guide us all through our dark days, into the true light of the Lord and give us His peace. GOD BLESS US ALL.
